Glenview is one of the larger villages sprouting off of Chicago. It holds nearly 45,000 people at last count. It's mostly known for one of its beautiful parks, which happens to be historic landmarks. If you're a nature lover, you will love coming to Glenview to hike through The Grove, a 123 acre piece of land with many nature trails, historic buildings, and a learning center. Whether you're working up a sweat on the trails or just taking it easy with good friends in the area, you've still got to fill your tummy with some delicious grub. These are our best picks for bars and restaurants in the 60025 and 60026 zip codes.
FLIGHT WINE BAR
You've probably already heard a lot about Flight Wine Bar, and if you've been wondering what's so special about it, we've got the answer to your questions. Of course the incredible wine selection is the number one consideration here, but the thing that really pushes them up above the rest is the excellent service. The knowledgeable staff is happy to point you to the perfect wine for you, and of course to help you choose one of their many unique entrees. Our absolute favorite is the Duck Macaroni and Cheese! Of course it's called "Flight Wine Bar" for a reason, and that's because of their wine flights, which gives you three different choices of wine at one setting. Very nice.

Zagat voted Wildfire Restaurant the most popular restaurant in the Chicago area in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and there's a reason that so many people flock to this establishment! The food is simply to die for, and the atmosphere is equally wonderful. The whole wheat pizzas are fantastic, and the toppings that we would recommend are Spicy Shrimp or the Chicken & Wild Mushroom! If you're a fan of the iconic Waldorf Salad, you'll want to try their version of it, the Wildorf Salad, which consists of fresh romaine lettuce and spinach, cranberries, raisins, pecans, celery, apples, sunflower seeds, crunchy croutons, and delicious apple ranch dressing. All of their steaks and seafood dishes are mind blowing and highly recommended!

This Italian establishment has been serving delectable specialties since 1995. We return time after time for their delicious fish, prime beef, and homemade desserts. They've got a motto here, and that's "Good Food, Good Wine, Good People," and if you live by those words, Cafe Lucci will quickly become your favorite restaurant in the Glenview area. They've recently done some renovations and added a new outdoor dining area too. Be sure to check out what's new and stop in for those classic favorites that never get old!

HACKNEY'S ON HARMS
There are many Hackney's restaurants in the Chicago area, and each one has its own style and charm. The Glenview location on Harms Road is in fact the original location, having stood the test of time since 1939! You'll feel like you've traveled to a distant location to find this little gem, since it's located across the street from a forest preserve, but it's really so close to home. When the weather's warm, you'll want to kick back on the outdoor patio and enjoy their delicious steak, seafood, salads, and more!

YARD HOUSE GLENVIEW
We don't want to waste any time on anything but the food here, because it's so amazing... Some of our highest recommendations are: Grilled Jerk Wings with rum bbq sauce... Chicken Lettuce Wraps with three dipping sauces... Seared Rare Ahi Sashimi with soy vinaigrette... Coconut Shrimp with spicy green papaya salad... Ahi Crunchy salad with soy vinaigrette... Southern Fried Chicken Breast pasta with spinach-corn-mashed potatoes... Maui Chicken with macadamia nuts, stir fried vegetables, and jasmine or brown rice... and of course for dessert the Whole Peach Apple Cobbler or the Whole Macadamia Nut Cheesecake! It's just too good!

GUSTO ITALIANO RESTAURANT
It's hard to believe that Gusto Italiano Restaurant has been serving the Chicago area since 1985, but it's true, and it's no secret why they've been around so long. It's because of their incredible service and attention to detail, and of course that delicious Mediterranean cuisine. The Chicago Tribune rated them #1 for their Eggplant Parmigiana, and they also earned the Silver Platter Award from the Food Industry News! We would highly recommend the Carillon Salad with artichokes, hearts of palm, sun dried tomatoes, and asparagus. The Rigatoni Ala Rigo is also fantastic!
Address: 1470 Waukegan Road
Lalo's is as much known for their famous margaritas as they are for their fresh and delicious Mexican food! Our favorite lunch items are the mini-fajitas, served piping hot on a sizzling skillet, with onions, tomatoes, and peppers, plus guacamole, sour cream, and rice and beans! You won't find pollo con mole in too many restaurants in the Glenview area, so that's a reason to come in too... tender chicken breast topped with mole poblano sauce, plus Spanish rice and salad. The "Pick 3 Combinations" option is always great too... particularly because it's so hard to make up your mind with so many wonderful things on the menu!

RA SUSHI BAR RESTAURANT
Searching for the freshest sushi in Glenview? RA Sushi wins that contest, hands down. It's been rated the best place for sushi and sake, and we can't disagree with that! Regulars know it as just "The RA," and it's always a vibrant dining experience that awaits. Energetic music, happy staff, and the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy the freshest slices of sashimi and the most perfectly rolled sushi. We really enjoy the Lone Star Roll, the Viva Las Vegas, and the Tootsy Maki! Great cocktails here too.Try the Tsunami Punch which consists of Southern Comfort, amaretto, vodka, cold sake, grenadine, and juice. Served in a large fishbowl that's perfect for sharing!
Address: 2601 Aviator Lane
We love El Jardin in Glenview for their fabulous lunches and dinners seven days a week, and especially for their Mexican breakfasts on Saturdays and Sundays! They are known for their carne asada, for their ice cold beer, and for their 40 tequila selections! (You did read that right. 40 tequilas. Incredible.) Wonderful margaritas too. The original El Jardin opened in the 1960s on Chicago's North Side. Now El Jardin Norte continues that great tradition, and by dining there, you can be a part of it. Best dishes in our opinion: Taco de Pescado, Carne Asada Burritos, and Pollo Empanzado!

MITCHELL'S FISH MARKET
This seafood restaurant gets rave reviews for its incredibly fresh seafood. They've got all your favorites here, including Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes, Char-Broiled Oysters, Filet Mignon, Cedar Plank Salmon (the house specialty!), and Blue Crab and Jumbo Shrimp Penne! If you love shellfish, you'll have your choice of Twin Cold Water Rock Lobster Tail, Live Maine Lobster, and Alaskan King Crab Legs. And for an after dinner dessert martini? Try the Chocolate & Chai. Delicious!
