Grayslake, Illinois is one of the suburbs of Chicago that's located in Lake County. With just over twenty thousand residents, it's one of the larger suburbs. College of Lake County calls Grayslake home, as does the University Center of Lake County, and the Lake County Fairgrounds too. You may be coming into the area for fishing, golfing, boating, or swimming in the warmer months of the year, or maybe hockey, ice fishing, and skating in the colder months. If you're traveling to Grayslake any time soon, check out our list of the best bars and restaurants in the 60030 zip code, maybe even print it out as a handy reference during your trip!
The Vine has a very Chicago style feeling to it, with open spaces much like the downtown lofts that we love. It's a great "date night" type of ambiance, with the romantic fireplace and live music that's not too loud to talk over. The wine and beer selections are great, and they have a nice bourbon selection as well. The offerings on the menu are quite eclectic and they're all delicious. Very highly recommended for a great night out in Grayslake!

LAST CHANCE SALOON
Last Chance Saloon is a nice roomy bar where you can come to relax with friends and enjoy some delicious bar fare. The beers on draft are a nice array, and they've got a good amount of bottles too if you prefer it. We like to come in for their fish fry, which is always done just right, very fresh and tasty. There's an outdoor seating area, a pool table, TVs to catch the game, wi-fi, and a private party room to rent out for your special events. Great place!

We've only been to Country Squire for their Sunday brunch, but based on that we'd have to highly recommend this place. The ambiance is nice and comfortable, clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly with us, and we really enjoyed the seasonings on all the food as well as the fine-dining atmosphere. We were big fans of the Cape Cod omelette, the crab cakes, the poached eggs, and the Crepe le Poulet. The raisin muffins were also really delicious! It's a little bit pricey but if you can afford it it's really a lovely dining experience. In business since 1977 for a reason!

BAKE'S PUB & GRILL
Bake's Pub & Grill is the best of two worlds, a great pub and a great restaurant! We love the pizza here, and when you pair it with one of their great beers on draft, it's the perfect winning combination. They've got a lot of micro brews available too, and with the fireplace and sports bar atmsophere, it's just so warm and cozy. Great for dates or just for hanging out with your friends and watching the game. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu here!

Pat's Pizza is a family friendly pizza restaurant that has some of the very best thin crust you'll ever try. Many of our friends go here just for the thin crust, but we'd also highly recommend the salads, chicken, soups, and even the desserts. They've got a private space that you can rent for your birthday parties and showers and other such events. And did we mention that this is one of those places where you can just throw your nutshells on the floor? The kids, of course, love that! Great place to bring the whole family!

Full Slab is an excellent barbecue restaurant that features all your American favorites, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce and smoked flavor. So good! It's got a sports bar vibe, plus great outdoor seating, and on the weekends you can often catch some really great live entertainment here. They've got dancing, televisions to catch the sports events, wi-fi to stay connected on your smart phone or laptop, and live blues every Friday night!

Hillside Restaurant is one of our favorite places to stop for breakfast in the Grayslake area. We love to chat over coffee and juice while we wait for our hot fresh breakfast to arrive, and it's never a long wait at all. We're really big fans of the almond waffles! If you come later in the day and want a great lunch, we'd recommend a bowl of their homemade soup! Lots of people come here just for the soup, so you know it's good. Definitely a friendly family restaurant!

THAT PASTA PLACE
That Pasta Place has a wonderful Italian kitchen kind of vibe, very low key and comfortable yet nicely decorated. In the daytime it's very family friendly and at night you'll enjoy relaxing with a nice glass of wine along with that fabulous dinner. You simply can't go wrong with any of the pastas on the menu so we won't bother trying to choose a favorite, but we do recommend that you start off the evening with the bruschetta. It's so good! Always a great experience from start to finish.
Address: 641 Barron Boulevard
Domino's Pizza may seem a little too run of the mill to include on a list of favorite restaurants in Grayslake, but we love this location for their friendly service and extra special attention which results in a much better pizza pie! We believe that the basics are the best here, so the cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza are our two top choices every time! Best place for fast delivery in Grayslake.

TANG'S CHINESE RESTAURANT
Tang's Chinese Restaurant focuses on the classic Chinese dishes that we all grew up loving. You won't find any of those fancy modern dishes here, and we really prefer it that way. The egg foo young is the best thing on the menu, purely outstanding. The egg rolls are also homemade and super fresh. The chicken is cooked just perfectly, and the fried rice is the authentic real deal, just the way you like it. It's hidden away in a strip mall, but don't let that exterior fool you. This restaurant is top notch!
