Lemont, Illinois

The village of Lemont is a suburb of Chicago that is located in Cook, Will, and DuPage counties. It's one of the more medium sized suburbs with just over thirteen thousand residents, and its motto is the "Village of Faith." In recent years you may have seen parts of the city featured in a Julia Stiles movie called Save the Last Dance, or in an R. Kelly video called Rock Star. If you're coming into Lemont, you'll want to know the best restaurants and bars in the 60439 and 60440 zip codes. And here they are...

La Dolce Vita is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Lemont. Though this city is filled with mostly casual dining establishments, La Dolce Vita brings a touch of class and elegance to the downtown area. They've got a very nice wine list, not excessive but still impressive. The prices are very affordable, and the food is just fantastic. We love their house salad with oil and balsamic vinegar. We would very highly recommend the Lemon Chicken Francese!

I can't tell you how many times we passed up Old Town Restaurant because we thought it would be a casual buffet type of restaurant based on the name. We were wrong! The menu consists of German and Polish delicacies, bringing the flavors of Europe right to your table. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy, and the waitstaff is so attentive and helpful when it comes to the items on the menu. They will definitely help you to choose something great. We love this place! One of our highest recommendations in the city.

This Must Be The Place sounds like the name of a corner bar to us, but in reality this is a both a great restaurant and bar. The menu pretty much consists of deep fried pleasure, so if you're looking for something healthy, look elsewhere! Bar food, strong drinks, and great service. That's pretty much what it boils down to. We love the music selection and all the music legends album covers hanging on the walls. Very cool place to hang out with friends.

Seamus McGhee's Grille is such a great place to relax with friends over some really delicious food! The ambiance is very fun and lively, never a dull moment here. The building itself used to house a bank, so when you walk into it now, it feels kind of like you're walking onto the set of an old western movie. They've got great hamburgers and sweet potato fries, but that's only the beginning of their wonderful menu. Very highly recommended to anyone looking for someplace different to relax with friends this weekend!

Pancake Cafe is best known for its fantastic breakfasts, and we try to make it a point to stop in for those pancakes and other morning specialties at least once a month. The Chicago Tribune voted them best apple pancakes, and how can you argue with that? Everything is served with fresh whipped butter, and that's just a hint of the homemade delicacies that you will enjoy while you're here. Note that they're only open from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM. You can grab an early lunch here, but forget about dinner! Awesome place to eat.

Lemont House Restaurant is a Chinese and Korean restaurant that has been in business for over three decades, and they still have mostly that same old retro vibe that they had back then. The food however has evolved and gotten better and better over the years, and it is nothing short of superb. If you have a taste for the classic, Lemont House will definitely satisfy your appetite. Be sure to try this one when you're in the area!

White Fence Farm is synonymous with great chicken, and if you haven't tried it yet, it's about time that you do. It's been described as exquisitely mouth watering, and we agree! Some people say it's too expensive, but you've got to note that the sides are completely unlimited here. You can literally eat until you're full no matter how big your appetite is. We love to pair the corn fritters with that delicious fried chicken. It doesn't get any better than this!

Kitaro Grill & Sushi Lounge is a very intimate and comfortable restaurant where you can enjoy your sushi and sashimi with that special someone. If you love a darker atmosphere and a more relaxed vibe than most of the other sushi restaurants than you have frequented, then you will find that this one is just perfect for dates. They've got great martinis too, and lots of wonderful rolls!

Nick's Tavern is a comfortable bar where we love to hang out with good friends and eat delicious hamburgers! There are truly some of the largest hamburgers we have ever been served in a bar! Of course the drink prices are nice and low, and yet the mixed drinks are never watered down, good and strong just the way you like them! There's a good selection of beers on draft and in bottles, and you will also enjoy the selection of liquor. Great bartenders and friendly crowds!

We love Stonehouse Pub's slogan, "Where family and friends meet for good times and great food." We definitely do gather with our family and friends here under that familiar roof to enjoy some great pub food and beer. They've got a nice amount of beers available here including some rarer ones that are kind of hard to find, and if you prefer mixed drinks, they've got a really great bartender who really knows the art of mixology. Some of the best drinks we've ever had! Love it!
