Northbrook, Illinois is located in Cook County and is called home by more than thirty thousand happy residents. They know that there are many wonderful bars and restaurants within the 60062 and 60065 zip codes, and with the list below you'll find out the best of them too. Northbrook may be best known in pop culture as the setting for many of John Hughes' iconic films, including parts of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Uncle Buck, She's Having a Baby, Ordinary People, Weird Science, and Risky Business. If you're coming in to town to check out those film landmarks, make sure to visit some of these great watering holes listed below!
Oh how we love Francesca's North! This location has been gracing Northbrook with its presence since 1995 and we have been frequenting it ever since. The food is incredibly delicious, with origins in Rome, Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. The portions are enormous and the prices are very affordable. They've got a very impressive wine list too. Highly recommended!
Address: 1145 Church Street
We love the Northbrook location of Kamehachi, situated conveniently adjacent from the train station. The upscale ambiance is unrivaled by any other restaurant in the area, and it's so wonderful that you can find something so good without having to travel into the downtown area of Chicago. You can choose from sushi or any one of delicious entrees and appetizers. We most highly recommend the Kaki Fry which is breaded deep fried oysters with Japanese BBQ suace and lemon! Delish!

RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE
There's not much we can tell you about Ruth's Chris Steak House that you don't already know, so this paragraph serves as more of a recommendation than a review! You know that the steaks and seafood here are superb... that the ambiance is warm and inviting... and that the staff is always friendly and happy to help you choose just the perfect entree. Wonderful for special dates or business lunches!

MARCELLOS: A FATHER & SON RESTAURANT
Marcellos claims to have the very best deep dish and thin crust pizza in Chicago, and though we've got many favorites in the area, we are highly inclined to agree with that statement! They've also got unbelievable homemade pasta and salads, and BBQ ribs that are simply to die for! Everything is made from scratch, and this is a true family restaurant, owned by father and son. You won't find higher quality than this!
Address: 1911 Cherry Lane
Pinstripes is one of the coolest places to hang out with friends in the Northbrook area. They combine bowling and bocce with a fun bistro atmosphere, and there's simply nothing else like this in all of Chicago. The food here is Italian and American. If you love to bowl, you'll enjoy their eighteen lanes. If you love bocce, you'll love the courts that are both indoor and outdoor. And if you've got a large private party coming up, you'll love renting out the place for anywhere from twenty to six hundred people! Very highly recommended!
Address: 1150 Willow Road
PRAIRIE GRASS CAFE
We love the seasonal offerings at Prairie Grass Cafe. The atmosphere is upscale yet casual, so you can feel completely comfortable and yet feel that you're treating yourself to something really special and unique. In terms of the appetziers we'd recommend the tempura shrimp with veggies and soy dipping sauce, and for an entree you can't beat the Tallgrass Beef penne pasta with basil tomato meat sauce. So good!
Address: 601 Skokie Boulevard
MORTON'S THE STEAKHOUSE
Steak and seafood lovers rejoice, Morton's The Steakhouse is exactly what you've been looking for. At the time of this writing they've got an incredible three course deal that costs just over one hundred dollars for two guests. Steak, seafood, and dessert at an unbelievable price. The lobster tails are incredible here, and we love to rent the place out for private functions. Great for that important business lunch or special private anniversary.

HANSON BROTHERS TAVERN
Hanson Brothers Tavern is our go-to place for great drinks and entertainment in the Northbrook area! They've always got the best live bands on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and if you prefer to be the one on stage, you'll love their karaoke every Thursday night! They've got great specials during the Bears games every Sunday, and their website makes it easy to keep up with all the current events! We love this place!
Address: 1945 Willow Road
Charlie's Place's claim to fame is that they've got the best burger in town! It's cool to find a spot that focuses on a great burger since so many in Chicago are all about the pizza! These juicy char-burgers will definitely get your mouth watering, especially since they're done in that old fashioned way that really seals in all the flavor. Great service and atmosphere too! Very highly recommended for any burger lover!
Address: 290 Skokie Boulevard
Sushi lovers will want to take note, Sushi Box in Northbrook is one of the very best! The interesting thing is that they're more focused on the Korean food than on the sushi, though there's no hint of it being a Korean restaurant in the name... however we'd say both the entrees and the sushi are fantastic! We love the service and the atmosphere. Always a great time and plenty of TVs to catch the game!
