Palos Heights, Illinois
Palos Heights is not a large city, with just over 12,000 residents, but as an offshoot of Chicago it has many excellent restaurants and bars. If you feel like you've tried it all in the Chicagoland area, it's a great idea to head into the 60463 zip code and discover what you've been missing. We've gathered a top ten list of our favorite places to eat and drink in the area. Check 'em out:
Trio is a fun bar where you can listen to the latest tunes on the jukebox, hear the greatest live bands, or let the DJ do the spinning, depending on what night you're there. They've got a great outdoor seating for nights when the weather is warm, and we're big fans of all the great Italian food here. The food is a cut above the typical bar. Great place to relax and have a good time with friends.

JOE DANIEL'S BAR & GRILL
Home of Elmo the Elk! Seeing that massive deer head mounted above the bar will leave a lasting first impression, and you'll always remember Joe Daniel's. Of course it's the food that you'll really remember here! It's said that they have the best pub food on the south side, and their drinks are great too. Rustic and relaxing. We love this place!

GAMETIME SPORTS BAR & GRILL
Gametime Sports Bar & Grill is just a great place to catch the game and have a few drinks. Lots of TVs so you can catch a few games at the same time. No need to play favorites when it comes to sports. Great service, fun crowds, and good times!
Address: 6405 West 127th Street
Sam Buca's is half restaurant, half bar! It's our favorite spot to catch all the big sports games, whether it's the Blackhawks, Bears, White Sox, Bulls, or even the Cubs. Great selection of wine, beer, and spirits, and very friendly staff and bartenders. DJs on Friday nights, and trivia on Thursdays!
Address: 12231 South Harlem Avenue
BOOTSMA BOOKSTORE CAFE
The Bootsma Bookstore Cafe at Navajo Creek is a blend of restaurant, cafe, and espresso bar. We love the fireplace, the cozy leather seating, and the huge windows that overlook the beautiful woods. Going to Bootsma is like taking a mini vacation in the middle of the day. Can't recommend this one highly enough!
Address: 6513 West 123rd Street
We're big fans of Capri Restaurant for banquets and events, with their beautifully ornate decor, round tables with white linens, and cozy corner fireplace. But of course they're also great for an ordinary night on the town too! Our favorites on the menu are the Fettucini Primavera and the Rigatoni Basilico.

TOBY'S DINING & SPIRITS
Toby's is a great place to rent out for private events, and we love to go there for dinner as well. As soon as you walk through those ornate doors you know you're in for a fabulous meal. The stars of the menu are the filet mignon and the Toby burger. Highly recommended!

If you love Thai food and you're in the Palos Heights area, Thai Smile is an essential. The Chicken Satay is our favorite thing on the menu, with that rich peanut sauce that you just can't get enough of. Pad Thai is of course a great choice for anyone. Large portions, and delicious curries!

MAMA VESUVIO EAST
Your mouth will water from the moment you walk into Mama Vesuvio East and smell that incredible pizza baking... And they've got thin, double decker, stuffed, and bruschetta! The Veal Marsala is also an excellent choice, as is the Veal Pizzaiola! We absolutely cannot get enough of this place!
