PALOS PARK RESTAURANTS & BARS

Between Palos Hills, Palos Heights, and Palos Park, Palos is the smallest of the three. With less than five thousand people calling it home, this village is tiny but well populated with incredible restaurants and bars. There are several attractions that may pull you into the area, including the Plush Horse Ice Cream Parlor, the McCord House Cultural Center, Mill Creek, or The Children's Farm. HACKNEY'S Hackney's has been family owned and operated for over five decades! They've got many locations in the Chicagoland area, but the Palos Park one has a special place in our lists. We're a big fan of the juicy burgers served on flavorful pumpernickel bread, and the grilled chicken and asparagus pasta is truly a taste sensation! Address: 9550 West 123rd Street Phone: 708.448.8300 FRANCESCA'S VICINATO Francesca's Vicinato opened in 2003, and they have been bringing the delicious flavors of Italy to Palos Park ever since. The menu has its heart in Rome, Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. Their extensive wine list is a big draw for us, as are the fabulous appetizers, salads, and entrees. Lunch is served Monday thru Friday and dinner is served seven days a week. They've got everything from Polish sausage to gyros, from tamales to pizza puffs, from chili tamale boats to hot dogs... And of course don't forget about the star of the menu, those Italian beef sandwiches. The menu is much more extensive than you'd think. And everything is top notch! You may easily miss this one if you're not looking for it, but don't judge this book by its cover. Simple surroundings, but excellent food, and even better service! You can't beat El Gallo. They've introduced over one thousand flavors since they first opened in the 1940s, and they've always got great monthly additions or seasonal specials to tantalize your tastebuds. CARDALONE'S PIZZA Home of the Dalkenator! Cardalone's Pizza always serves up the freshest and most delicious pizza pies in Palos Park! The crust is just the perfect thickness, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The staff here is always very friendly too. They use Mullens Cheese from Northern Wisconsin--the absolute best in quality and taste. And they've got a great multigrain thin crust pizza for those who are health conscious or just appreciate a great tasting thin crust! It's just a great place to kick back with some beer and great bar food and catch the big games on TV. Great crowds, friendly servers, and knowledgeable bartenders! It's perhaps best known for their pizzas, but their delightfully sophisticated Italian dishes are really our favorite things on the menu. We love the seafood and steaks, and the thin crust wheat pizza is really fantastic. Highly recommended.
