Park Ridge is absolutely one of the most beautiful suburbs of Chicago, with perfectly landscaped residential areas and equally well taken care of business districts. You may recognize the name, since it's where Hillary Rodham Clinton grew up. The Big Ten Conference is held here, and it's also home to some incredibly talented youth athletes that have brought much honor to the city. The Pickwick Theatre is a historic place and definitely Park Ridge's most familiar spot. Several scenes from The Blues Brothers were filmed in town, so you may get a slight feeling of deja vu if you're familiar with the movie! If you're coming to Park Ridge anytime soon, these are the best places to drink and dine in the 60068 zip code.
HAY CARAMBA RESTAURANT
You may have seen Hay Caramba on 190 North or maybe on the WGN9 Morning News! They're known for their outstanding service and friendly welcome, and of course for their out of this world Mexican food. The best dishes on the menu if you ask us? The combination appetizer, camarones al mojo de ajo, chicken fajitas, huachinago al mojo de ajo, cocktel de camarones, and the Mexican coffee and flan. All of those come highly recommended!

ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE
There are many Original Pancake House locations nationwide, known for their incredible apple pancakes smothered in sauteed apples and cinnamon sugar, their dutch baby which is a light and fluffy baked puff served with lemon butter and powdered sugar. Omelette lovers will want to try the mushroom omelette with mushroom sherry sauce! It's just too good.

SIAM THAI RESTAURANT
There are so many delicious and healthy meals to be eaten at Siam Thai Restaurant in Park Ridge. We love the Gai Yung, which is a half chicken marinated in Thai spices, charbroiled, with spicy sweet and sour sauce. Another favorite is the Gang Kiew Wan green curry dish, served in coconut milk with bamboo, eggplant, green peppers, peas, and your choice of meats or seafood.

VENUS SZECHUAN & MANDARIN RESTAURANT
There's no need to travel all the way to downtown Chicago for great Szechuan and Mandarin food, when you can dine at Venus in nearby Park Ridge! We go here for the Mu Shu Pork, Sesame Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Kung Pao Shrimp. Great place to stop for dinner before or after a movie at the Pickwick theatre.

MAKI SUSHI & NOODLE SHOP
Maki Sushi and Noodle Shop is surprisingly upscale despite being situated right here in familiar Park Ridge. You'd expect to see this type of restaurant in the downtown area. We highly recommend the Tornado Roll, consisting of salmon, unagi, mayo, black tobiko, unagi sauce, and red leaf lettuce. Pair that with some miso soup and a seaweed salad!

CAVA RESTAURANT & BAR
Fabulous Italian food right here in the heart of Park Ridge! Cava serves up great pizzas, Casino Clams, Italian Hummus, Tuscan Quesadillas, and La Cavaiolo Pasta. Their bar is great after dinner or after work, with signature martinis, cocktails, and a nice wine selection!

UPTOWN BAR & GRILL
Whether you want to have dinner or drinks (or both!) in the Park Ridge area, Uptown Bar & Grill is an easy choice. This one is in the space formerly occupied by El Famous Burrito, and it uses the space even better if you ask us, with the wide open space and natural lighting. Great food, great drinks, and excellent service!

NONNA SILVIA'S TRATTORIA & PIZZERIA
Nonna Silvia's Trattoria & Pizzeria offers the most authentic Italian food you're going to find in the area. Freshly prepared pizzas, amazing chops, a huge wine selection, and delicious desserts. Their new location is even better than the previous one. They say this is "Chicagoland's finest Italian dining," and we agree with that!

THE REHAB BAR & GRILL
Many people call The Rehab Bar & Grill their official after-work spot because of the great service, fun vibe, and low drink prices! The regulars are always recognized and appreciated. If you start coming in at the same time every day after work, don't be surprised if they've got your favorite drink ready to go as you walk in the door. There's a special vibe here that you just won't find anywhere else.
