Park Ridge is absolutely one of the most beautiful suburbs of Chicago, with perfectly landscaped residential areas and equally well taken care of business districts. You may recognize the name, since it's where Hillary Rodham Clinton grew up. The Big Ten Conference is held here, and it's also home to some incredibly talented youth athletes that have brought much honor to the city. The Pickwick Theatre is a historic place and definitely Park Ridge's most familiar spot. Several scenes from The Blues Brothers were filmed in town, so you may get a slight feeling of deja vu if you're familiar with the movie! HAY CARAMBA RESTAURANT You may have seen Hay Caramba on 190 North or maybe on the WGN9 Morning News! They're known for their outstanding service and friendly welcome, and of course for their out of this world Mexican food. The best dishes on the menu if you ask us? The combination appetizer, camarones al mojo de ajo, chicken fajitas, huachinago al mojo de ajo, cocktel de camarones, and the Mexican coffee and flan. All of those come highly recommended! Omelette lovers will want to try the mushroom omelette with mushroom sherry sauce! It's just too good. We love the Gai Yung, which is a half chicken marinated in Thai spices, charbroiled, with spicy sweet and sour sauce. Another favorite is the Gang Kiew Wan green curry dish, served in coconut milk with bamboo, eggplant, green peppers, peas, and your choice of meats or seafood. We go here for the Mu Shu Pork, Sesame Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Kung Pao Shrimp. Great place to stop for dinner before or after a movie at the Pickwick theatre. You'd expect to see this type of restaurant in the downtown area. We highly recommend the Tornado Roll, consisting of salmon, unagi, mayo, black tobiko, unagi sauce, and red leaf lettuce. CAVA RESTAURANT & BAR Fabulous Italian food right here in the heart of Park Ridge! Cava serves up great pizzas, Casino Clams, Italian Hummus, Tuscan Quesadillas, and La Cavaiolo Pasta. Their bar is great after dinner or after work, with signature martinis, cocktails, and a nice wine selection! They say this is "Chicagoland's finest Italian dining," and we agree with that!
