Batavia, Illinois

Batavia, Illinois is one of the bigger suburbs of Chicago, and is situated in Kane and DuPage counties. It's the home of the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad Depot Museum, which is a big attraction for the area. Quite a few famous people have come out of this city, including Ken Anderson, Nicholas Brooks, Jackie DeShannon, Mary Todd Lincoln, and many more. If you're heading into Batavia this weekend, consider visiting a few of these great bars and restaurants in the 60510 zip code!

Fox's Restaurant and Pub is an upscale yet relaxed establishment where you can kick back with friends and enjoy some of the best pizza and entrees that you've ever tasted. The ambiance is what really brings us back time after time, and of course the cravings for their incredible food. The service is always top notch, and their beer and wine selection is notable too. Definitely one of our highest recommendations!

Swordfish is an incredible sushi restaurant tucked away in Batavia. Everyone we know is always surprised to find such a great sushi establishment hidden in the suburbs, and one of the best specials they have is a monthly (last Wednesday of the month) all-you-can-eat special for just thirty five bucks! You simply can't beat that price. We're big fans of all their rolls, and their chirashi is also one of our favorites.

El Taco Grande is one of the most fun and lively Mexican restaurants you'll find in the Batavia area. What we love the most is that their food is so fresh and high quality. It's prepared with the utmost attention to detail, and always served with class. The servers are very friendly and attentive to your needs. If you're looking to have a great Mexican meal with cocktails, look no further. El Taco Grande is it!

Rendezvu is one of our favorite date spots in Batavia, hands down. It's located in a beautiful spot along the river, and the ambiance is upscale and very impressive. The menu, too, is filled with succulent choices, from hand-cut and hand-trimmed prime steak to mouth watering fresh fish... from generously portioned pastas to unforgettable desserts. And did we mention the specialty cocktails? And the superb service... on a scale of one to ten this one would be off the charts. We just lvoe to rendesvou at Rendezvu!

You've never tasted Italian cuisine like they serve it at Tribella. It is exquisite. From the moment you walk through the doors you'll feel that you've been transported to beautiful Italy, and the dishes that you'll be tasting will further take you there. Note that this restaurant is only open for dinner, so they open daily at 4:00 PM and are open until 9:00 PM on Sunday and Monday, until 9:30 PM Tuesday thru Thursday, and until 10:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

We've spent so many hours at O'Brien's Pub & Grill enjoying pints of our favorite brews and having great conversation with our friends or with the locals who are regulars at the bar. The service is always outstanding, and the atmosphere is pure Irish pub at its very best. They've got all your favorites that you'd expect to see on an Irish pub menu and then some. And the selection of drinks is noteworthy too. Definitely worth a stop when you're in the Batavia area.

Seeking a new Thai restaurant where you can sample some of the best flavors in town? That would be Thai Village Cuisine. We visited this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend, and since then we've been traveling to Batavia regularly just for their pad thai! It's that good! They've got some specialties that you will have a hard time finding elsewhere, and lots of good things to drink too. Great service! Highly recommended.

Tusk Thai Cuisine is a Thai restaurant that really brings the quality to the next level. It's much more of an upscale vibe than most of the Thai restaurants in the area, and honestly we love the vibe just as much as we love the fantastic food. They've open for dinner every night of the week and weekend, and it's really perfect for group outings. We would highly recommend the Thai Egg Rolls for a starter, and the Drunken Noodles and Green Curry Noodles are two of our favorite entrees!

Portillo's Hogdogs is such a Chicago tradition. They're all over the place, but the Batavia location holds a special place in our hearts. There's no place better to get those Chicago style hot dogs and other Chicagoland comfort foods that really make you feel at home. It's hard to believe that this famous chain began with just a small stand back in the sixties. We can't imagine Chicago without Portillo's!

Fantastico Italian Restaurant is one of the very best Italian restaurants in the entire Chicago area, and Batavia should be proud to call it their own! It's wonderful for those special occasions when nothing but the best will do. We are hooked on all their penne dishes, and the pizza? It's truly some of the most amazing pizza pie that we've ever tried! You will not find better service than this in Batavia. Our highest recommendation!
