LALO'S RESTAURANT
Lalo's is one of the most memorable spots to dine in the Berwyn area because of its stained glass windows and wonderful service. This wonderful Mexican spot serves up unusual tastes such as Quesadillas Sincronizadas, Queso Fundido, and Ceviche de Camaron. Our favorite entrees here are the Flautas de Pollo o Desebrada, and the Enchiladas al Gusto, but really you cannot go wrong with any choice on the menu. Everything is served fresh and piping hot.

CZECH PLAZA RESTAURANT
Czech Plaza has been in operation in Berwyn for an incredible 45 years! A restaurant just doesn't last that long unless they have something really special to offer. This palace of Bohemia features a full bar with a great selection of beers on tap plus all your domestic and imported favorites, and a very comfortable family friendly atmosphere. Our favorite specialty is the Long Island Duck which is roasted to a perfectly crisp golden brown, and the roasted sirloin of beef is also really delicious. Wonderful place to dine with family and friends.

MI TIERRA MEXICAN RESTAURANT
Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant is a family owned business, bringing the wonderful tastes of Mexico to the Chicago area. They've got all the classic Mexican favorites, but many specialties that you will not find anywhere else. One of our favorites is Parrillada de Lujo, which is a tabletop grill including shrimp, carne asada, beef short ribs, pork chops, chicken, chorizo, green onions, and cheese, and it's served with refreshing pico de gallo, plus beans and tortillas. It's a wonderful feast!

LA NOTTE CAFE
We love the patio deck at La Notte Cafe. There's no better way to enjoy your dinner on a warm summer night. Of course there's also the elegantly decorated main dining room to serve your needs all year long! Our favorites here are the Pappardelle Vodka pasta, which is home made flat square pasta in a creamy marinara sauce made with vodka. So delicious! The Risotta con Funghi, a risotto with mixed wild mushrooms, is also something that you've got to try. Delicious, upscale, and great service. We've got nothing but great things to say about this incredible little cafe.

THE JAMES JOYCE IRISH PUB
If you've been searching for the most authentic Irish pub in the Berwyn area, look no further. The James Joyce Irish Pub is the one. There are always lots of fun events going on, but the one that we never miss is the Quiz Night challenge that they hold on alternating Tuesdays. They're open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 1am, and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 3am. We recommend the Guinness Flight, which is five 8oz glasses of Guinness... All Irish black and tan, Black Velvet, Half and half, Black and Blue, and Snake Bite.

CIGARS & STRIPES
You've got to love the Cigars & Stripes slogan... "A strange place for nice people." It's not so strange to us! Great pool table, fantastic outdoor dining area, cozy leather seating in various nooks, and an excellent smoke shoppe. Their featured beers are the Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot and the Sierra Nevada Big Foot 2008. And on tap they've got a nice selection of eleven beers including Allagash White, Dogfish Head 90 Minute, and Gulden Draak (we highly recommend that one). Love this place!

TIGER O'STYLIES
This is our favorite place in Berwyn to play pool, have some great beers, and of course enjoy their award winning bloody marys. It's located on historic Route 66, and it's always a good time no matter when you go. They've got free wifi for those who can't bear to be disconnected, and DirecTV so you never miss those big games and events. Always great live music! Tiger O'Stylies is highly recommended!

OLIVE OR TWIST
Olive or Twist. Get it? The cheeky name stands in contrast to the classy atmosphere... this is probably the most upscale bar you can find in the Berwyn area. We love the Olive or Twist Big Cheese Martini, which is Ketel One vodka chilled and poured over stuffed bleu cheese olives. That's to die for. Also be sure to try the Red Manhattan, which features Red Stag cherry bourbon with sweet and dry vermouth, garnished with a cherry. Dirty martini fans aren't left out of the equation either... they've got a Keystone Dirty Martini that consists of Boyd & Blair potato vodka, olive juice, and a dash of dry vermouth. Fantastic!
